- They must have never been made. Since Lincoln didn't die Andrew Johnson couldn't let the states in charge of making laws so they couldn't make Black Codes

- This is so crazy black and white people definitely couldn't go to school together in 1869.
- This must be another effect of Lincoln not dying. The black codes were the first step towards segregation so it must have never happened.

- In conclusion, If Abraham Lincoln had not been assassinated then Black Codes would have not been created and both African Americans and white people would be equal. If he was never killed there would be way less racism because people would have over 100 years to get used to equality. Even though we cannot change the past we can still work to keep everyone equal.
