He was taken to England and treated well, they wanted him to be a translator for the English and he Native Americans.
john smith, is said to have returned him to america for that purpose in 1615.
Thomas hunt, took Squanto and several other native Americans to Spain where the Englishman hoped to sell them into slavery, but got away
Squanto returned to his homeland only to find that most of the the Pawtuxet had been wiped out by disease and settlers where living in his old village. He decided to help the settlers and he did, a lot
his own influence and aid had helped secure the survival of the colonists.
