Storyboard Text

  • Transpiration is when moisture that has been carried on plants, turns into a vapor by heat, goes into the sky and gets stored in the atmosphere.
  • Transpiration
  • There is evaporation, where the water will turn into water vapor and go into the sky, being stored in the atmosphere.
  • Evaporation
  • Condensation is when the water vapor in the atmosphere combines and gets so heavy, that it falls to the earth's surface, getting stored in bodies of water, ice, and snow.
  • Condensation
  • Condensation
  • Sublimation
  • Where liquid stored in ice and snow turns into water vapor, it skips going through a liquid stage.
  • The snow and ice melt, and then the water then flows into oceans and other bodies of water.
  • Runoff
  • Without the water cycle, there would be no life on earth. Every living organism needs water to thrive and survive.
  • The water cycle is not exactly dependent on any of the other three cycles. However, the water cycle plays a huge role in all the other cycles.
