The very depressed and lonely narrator heard a tapping at his door. He answered but no one was there. He calls out, but there is only an echo.
Are you from heaven. Do you know if Lenore is there?
A raven flew into the room. The narrator thinks that he is from the underworld. He asked the bird it's name, but all he said was never more.
"He will probably go away tommorow" said the narrator. "Never more" said the raven.
The raven settled itself down on a bust of Pallas above the chamber door. The narrator thinks that the bird is staring at him wth thoose fiery eyes.
Can this raven only say NEVER MORE !
The air smells thick of seraphim. The narrator trys to breath it in to forget about his troubles and lenore. The raven says Never More.
The evil Raven denied the idea that Lenore was ever in heaven. The narrator's soul lies floating on the floor in the shadow of the raven sitting on the chamber door for ever more. Quoth the raven, NEVER MORE.
