  • Creating A Stable Food Supply
  • Todd Morris and Taylan Geilhart
  • I Paleolithic times we had to search and constantly move to find enough food to survive.
  • It was very hard to survive and people would get hurt or die hunting. We depended on the food to stay alive and the animals to stay so we can survive.
  • One of the first major changes was we learned to plant and grow crops to eat.
  • This allowed us to plant different foods in different areas and get food without risking lives to go hunt or collect food.
  • Later we learned we could domesticate certain animals like sheep and use them for clothes and meat. Animals like donkeys allowed us to carry lots of supplies and things with use if or when we traveled.
  • We raised animals like goats, sheep and, cattle. They were used for meat and the goat and cattle provided milk too. This provided us with a fairly stable food supply.
  • Both of these advancements helped people to get food and survive. This is called agriculture. This was the first time people had control over their food and didn’t have to scavenge for food.
