The man then shot Malala and the two girls beside her.
Malala wakes up in the hospital in Birmingham, where she is given surgery. At first, she could not see very well and her left eye would not close. The nurses explained to Malala that she was put into a coma and that she was shot in the head by the Taliban. First Malala was given surgery in Pakistan. She was then conveyed to a hospital in Birmingham for better care. Malalas family was informed, about everything by the doctors.
