Once upon a time, there lived a very rich man named King Midas. Midas had a daughter whom the name was Marygold. Midas loved his sweet daughter and wanted to bequeath her the most immense pile of gold.
Oh No! What have i done :(
One day a mysterious stranger appeared standing in a bright sunbeam. This stranger granted Midas a wish and Midas had wanted nothing more but to turn everything into gold with a single touch, So the mysterious shadow granted his wish.
Please come back my sweet Marygold
Midas now had the Golden Touch which meant everything he touched turned into gold! He turned his book, staircase, clothes, breakfast of trout and even his beautiful roses, in full bloom that his daughter loved dearly, into gold.
Oh how much i've missed these roses
Foolish Mitas didn't realize he wished for a curse, As he reached to kiss his sweet Marygold on her forehead she was no longer a child but a golden statue
Poor Mitas would now wish only to reverse this curse. Luckily the stranger gave him a way to undo this mess telling him to sprinkle water from the river over anything he wish to change back to its former substance, bringing his beautiful Marygold back!
Why am i Drenched in water father?
As the time goes on, Midas, old and wise, proudly tells this tale to his grandchildren as they sit there with golden specks in their hair inherited by their mother Marygold.
