By: Sophia Allen
In the 700s, due to lack of good farmland, viking tribes moved south an began pillaging European villages.
In the late 800s, a viking named Floki discovered a land that was covered with ice, but had good farmland.
I will call this place "Iceland."
After being exiled from Iceland, Erik Thorvaldsson traveled west, and discovered a land he named Greenland.
I bet other people from Iceland would like to live here.
A viking named Leif and his men discover what will become North America, and spend the inter there. In the spring, they prepare to return to Greenland.
A viking Named Thorvald goes to North America, but is killed by a group of Native Americans, so the rest of his men go back to Greenland.
