A wave is a disturbance that transfers energy from one place to another
what is a transverse wave?
A Transverse wave is a rope like wave. A Transverse wave moves the medium up and down
An example of a longitudinal wave is like a slinky. This is an example because this wave has so many waves just bunched up and it makes it look like that. and the medium is moved back and forth
whats a Longitudinal wave?
There are many differences but one of them is where the amplitude is on the wave
On an Transerve wave the amplitude is in between the trough and the resting point or between the crust and the resting point
What is the difference between a transerve wave and a longitudinal
On a longitudinal wave its different... we look and were the wave is more compact or closer together and were the wave is looser and were it is loose its called the rarefaction and were it is tight it is called compresion
another diffrence is that a longitudinal wave has more energy and you ask why and the reason is has more energy is because there is always more waves going through two points in one second and the more waves there are going through two points the more energy there is
Thank you Mr.Jason Now i know what a wave is and how it works
