  • Igneous rock form from the cooling solidification of lava or magma.
  • Instruisive rocks are large rocks they form large because the magma cools slowly.
  • Extrusive rocks form small or no crystals because the lava cools slowly and maybe vesicular it can contain air bubbles.
  • Examples: Intrusive rocks are granite which has Feldspar, quartz, and mica. Intrusive can be used for building and their light colored high silica.
  • Examples for Extrusive: Extrusive rocks are Basalt= low silica, Obsidan= Volcanic glass, and Pumice= Vesicular, floats
