Crossing the Threshold

Unlike most characters, John does not refuse his call to adventure. As previously stated, John initiates his own journey. " It is time for my journey, give me your leave"
John crosses the threshold after his father purifies him and gives him permission to leave."Now go on your journey." "When the dawn came, I was out of sight of the village."
