It was a pivotal event in the French Revolution.It was the last peaceful attempt made by the people of Paris to persuade King Louis XVI of France to abandon his current policy.

On August 26 of 1789 The declaration of the rights of man of the citizen got approved. The French revolutionaries wrote a Declaration of Rights that they hoped would serve as a model in every corner of the world.The conflict led France to abolish the monarchy and establish a republic.
The day of October 5th 1789 There was a stand off between the Constitution Assembly and King Louis XVI at Versailles about who had ultimate authority. Around 6,000 women decided to march armed with pikes to Versailles, 20 miles away to ask the King and the Assembly directly. This became one of the most significant events of the French Revolution, eventually forcing the royals to return to Paris.
