  • So, I have to make the problem look like  2/8 ÷  3/1?
  • 2/8  ÷ 1/3
  • Now let's try a division problem. First flip the second fraction (1/3).
  • OK, so now I have to multiply 2/8 x 3/1? That's easy!
  • No! You can't divide them like that!
  •  You have to put in a multiplication sign so the problem is 2/8 x 3/1=?.
  • So if I multiply the numerators and denominators together, the answer will be...
  • The answer is 6/8! That means that 2/8 ÷ 1/3 = 6/8
  • Yes!!
  • So, the answer to both of those problems are 6/21 and 6/8!
  • Perfect, now you know how to multiply and divide fractions! 
  • Yeah!
