• 2/8  ÷ 1/3﻿
• Now let's try a division problem.﻿﻿ First flip the second fraction (1/3).
• ﻿OK, so now I have to multiply 2/8 x 3/1? That's easy!﻿
• No! You can't divide them like that!﻿﻿
•  You have to put in a multiplication sign so the problem i﻿﻿s 2/8 x 3/1=?.
• ﻿So if I multiply the numerators and denominators together, ﻿the answer will be...
• The answer is 6/8! That means that 2/8 ﻿÷﻿ 1/3 = 6/8
• ﻿Yes!!
• ﻿So, the answer to both of those problems are 6/21 and 6/8!﻿
• ﻿Perfect, now you know how to multiply and divide fractions! ﻿
• Yeah!﻿
