We are going to give her the best we both have to offer, and make her a truly high level theatre baby!
I love the political implications of Boal's forum theatre! He really used his craft to change the world!
Don't worry! I am not really upset. I am just exploring some of Boal's techniques out here in the streets, just like he would have!
The Research Presentation, and the Collaborative Project got married and had a baby! It was called the Solo Theatre Piece!
I love journaling - this way I remember my journey of discovery!
It had it's mommy's research skills. As it grew, it learned all about the theorist through primary and secondary sources, and became an expert on one aspect of that theorist's work!
It also had its father's knack for active exploration! It experimented with the aspect, and then applied it to a piece of theatre. It's parents gave it the freedom to use a scripted piece, or invent its own!
Just like both its partents, the Solo Piece kept a journal as it grew, and recorded all that it was learning and experiencing throughout its life - with references to the source material!
Finally, the big day came and the Solo Piece performed a 4-7 minute piece showing off all it had learned as a theatre practitioner, and student of theatre theory!
It later wrote a memoir, recounting the theory, the development of the piece, and a evaluation of how their intentions were filled! And the all lived happily ever after!
