"Ahh, what is happening?" Jeremy the water droplet screams as he gets evaporated into the air. "Oh you young little droplet, we are in a cycle called the water cycle." The old droplet replied. "Whats your name? Also, what is this water cycle you speak of?" Jeremy asked. "My name is Bob, and the water cycle is the movement of water going from liquids, to solids, to gas powered by gravity and energy from the sun." Bob answered as he floated up so high that Jeremy could no longer see him.
"Whoa! I am now in the sky? What is happening?" Jeremy exclaimed. "There you are dear young one. We just went trough evaporation, which is when water changes from a liquid to a gas. We have been condensated into cloud form. But soon we are going to be precipitated in either the form of rain, snow, hail, or sleet!" Bob replied. "Wow that is so cool!" Jeremy screamed.
"This must be precipitation! But, I wonder what happens next." Jeremy questioned as he was pulled to ground by gravity in snow form. "Wow it is getting really late, I should go to bed." Jeremy whispered to himself.
"Oh my god, I am sinking!" Jeremy yelled with fear! Bob smiled and replied "Oh silly, this is just another part of the water cycle called infiltration and then we become groundwater. Infiltration is when surface water seeps into the ground through soil and rock layers. Groundwater is the water that is underground that fills pore spaces in soil and rock layers!" "Oh that makes sense! Thank you." Jeremy said.
"Oh my, bob are we in a flower?"Jeremy questioned. "Yes, we are. This is called transpiration. Which is the transport of water from plants to get into the atmosphere!" Bob answered with a smile. "Oh that is so cool!" Jeremy exclaimed with joy.
" Is this precipitation again?" Jeremy asked. "Yes, this time we are snow." Bob replied. "We are back in the beginning, I love being part of the water cycle!" Jeremy exclaimed.
