Evidence 1: When Les Goodman defends himself as the person that has started all the madness on their street.
Its you we all know it
Evidence 2: When Charlie and the group were scared when they saw a figure and with no mistake shot and killed Pete Van Horn.
Evidence 3: When they finally realize that the whole time it was aliens. "They pick the most dangerous enemy they can find and its your self."
My theme for the Monsters are due on Maple street is Mankind is its worst own enemy. One Evidence to support that is when Les Goodman defends himself when everyone in the group starts to blame him for all that is going on because the lights in his house start flickering on and off. This shows how just in the matter of seconds when something happens people are quick to blame. This supports my theme because it shows that everyone in the group felt that since something weir was going on the first person that had got victim to it showed be the monster.Another Evidence is when Charlie and the group saw a dark figure coming towards them they got scared and were very quick to act they immediately grabbed a gun and shot and killed Pete Van Horn. This is important by showing how people can just react without a thought and create and an action. It supports my theme by explaining how charlie was scared that there were actually aliens that just killed someone he knew. For my last evidence I have that when the group finally realizes that there were actually aliens. "They pick the most dangerous enemy they can find and its your self."This is important to show how things you think that might not be real are actually true but you might not think. This ends up supporting my theme because it shows how in the story everyone had felt some type of way because they were blaming each other based off of little actions. All in all I feel like this supports my theme which is Mankind is its own worst enemy.
