  • The Union's Arrival
  • In early September of 1863, the Union pushed the Confederates out of Chattanooga so they can take the railroad center within the city.
  • The Confederate's Arrival
  • This caused the Confederates to get very angry so they planned an attack on the banks near the Chickamauga Creek.
  • The Battle Begins
  • General Rosecrans and his troops advanced their way to Chattanooga and the Chattanooga River.
  • The Results
  • The railroad center is ours!
  • Bragg toke his army to Chickamauga Creek and attempted to drive the Union southwest.
  • The destructive battle lasted for two days and caused many losses for both sides.
  • As a result, the Confederates won victory at the Battle of Chickamauga.
