The Union's Arrival
In early September of 1863, the Union pushed the Confederates out of Chattanooga so they can take the railroad center within the city.
The Confederate's Arrival
This caused the Confederates to get very angry so they planned an attack on the banks near the Chickamauga Creek.
The Battle Begins
General Rosecrans and his troops advanced their way to Chattanooga and the Chattanooga River.
The railroad center is ours!
Bragg toke his army to Chickamauga Creek and attempted to drive the Union southwest.
The destructive battle lasted for two days and caused many losses for both sides.
As a result, the Confederates won victory at the Battle of Chickamauga.
