King What's-His-Face falls under the parent archetype
The Minotaur (panel 4) represents the monster archetype
This part reminds me of that three-headed dog from the first Harry Potter movie
I remember watching Tom & Jerry and there was one where Jerry had to go back home but he couldn't bring his girlfriend because he was going in a plastic cup and there wasn't enough room for both of them so she had to stay behind. This is kinda the same except she had to stay because of a storm and not the latter.
At the end of the story in COD WWII, Daniel visits his older brother's grave who died because he didn't kill the wolf that was attacking him. Perseus's father killed himself because Perseus forgot to change the sails on the ship when he got back. I know this grave-visiting scene didn't happen in the actual story but if this myth had a sequel, there'd probably be a scene like this.
