In Egypt, The Pharaoh ordered the firstborn males of the Israelites to be killed, so one mother and her daughter hid their son in a basket and set it afloat on a river, hoping he would find a new home.
The Egyptians in the palace found him floating nearby. So they took him in and named him Moses.
Moses grew up knowing from right to wrong. So naturally he felt horrible witnessing how the Egyptians treated the Israelites... So he stood up to them.
At some point, Moses realised he was Israelite by origin. Hating the way the Egyptians treated his people, he packed and left.
I will always be with you. Save my children from Egypt.
Many years later, he escaped to Midian and established a new life and family there. One day, God appeared to him and gave him a new task...
Day after day, he went up to the Pharaoh and begged him to let his people go. He made empty promises, as he didn't let them go. Soon, God sent plagues after them, from frogs to darkness.
