  • Jackson was a war hero. He was a Republican and a runner in the election of 1824.
  • Outcome of the Election
  • He spent most of his life in politics. He was the Speaker of House. He also ran in the race in 1824 and was a Republican.
  • This was when John Quincy Adams and Henry Clay negotiated a cheat. Clay would become the Senator and Quincy would become the president.
  • John Quincy Adams became president while Henry Clay became a senator.
