  • Hula Girl By: Selah Lipman
  • Thanks Ku`ulei!
  • Wow! Can you teach me?
  • Hello! Did you know I can do magical powers!
  • What? I don't believe you!
  • See! I can heal people with my hula!
  •
  •
  • You will be conquered by an evil spirit! The spirit that took your mother!
  • Aghhh!
  • Anuhea lives on a kalo farm with her dad and younger sister. Her Mom died at Anuhea's young age of 11 years old. She loves to chant (oli) and dance hula.
  •
  • Where is my mom?
  • I'm sorry Anu, your Mom's in heaven now
  • While hiking in the forbidden ohia forest, Anuhea meets an older woman named Ku`ulei. Ku`ulei says she can heal people physically and spiritually when dancing hula. Anuhea doesn't believe her. So, Ku`ulei takes her to the hospital and heals somebody! Anuhea asks if she can learn and Ku`ulei said yes.
  • Bye Family! I'm going to miss all of you!
  • Anuhea is having a dream of a man with an ipu mask saying that she will be defeated by the same spirit that took her mom. Anuhea is frightened and tells Ku`ulei that she is scared to learn the forbidden art of hula.
  • Anuhea is now dreaming about her mother again. In the dream, it's when she first learns that her mom passed away. During Anuhea's practices with Ku`ulei, she's been noticing a native red bird following her. She's starting to think it's her mother.
  • Now, Anuhea is getting harder training and needs to spend less time with her family.
