  • Siddhartha was born a prince in Nepal in 563 BC. His father saw a fortune teller and predicts he will be a king or religious leader. Siddhartha's father wanted Siddhartha to follow his footsteps and become a king.
  • Siddhartha was raise in wealth and luxury. He was protected from everything unpleasent by his father. Siddhartha got married, which the entire court celebrated, and had a son. 
  • The first sight of the four passing sights was an old man leaning on a stick. The second sight was a man shrunking by disease, The third sight was a man who died. Lastly, the fourth sight was a wandering holy man who inspired Siddhartha to be just like him.
  • Siddhartha started a search for truth about life, suffering, and death. He studied witb Hindu gurus. The gurus did not satisfy Siddhartha with their approach to salvation.
  • Siddhartha renewed his search. He meditated for 49 days. Siddhartha achived enlightment, which is a state of perfect wisdom.
  • Siddhartha traveled across India, preaching a message of truth and hope. He got asked very often on what he was. Siddhartha died around 80. He had dying words to his followers.
