We will stay here until our food supply runs then we will move.
During the paleolithic period people were nomads, they had no permanent shelter. Where ever they could find food they would go. People would hunt in groups, They used stone and bone tools. They were always worried about where their next meal was going to come from.
During the Neolithic period people learned to farm and domesticate animals. They had permanent homes and villages. They had a stable food supply. The surplus of food led to an increase of world population because of more food to feed more people.
During the rise of civilzation they had city states. Not everyone had to be a farmer. Instead there were multiple jobs. There were merchants, priests, nobles, slaves and Kings/ruler. These are different social classes.
