  • Around 36% of the population hasexperienced extreme poverty.
  • People in developingcountries are especially vulnerable, where around half of the population live on not even $1.25 a day.
  • People in poverty have a difficult time providing food for themselves and their family, leading to malnourishment and hunger.
  • Once you reach poverty, you are also at a very high risk of becoming homeless.
  • Poverty is a cycle. Once you are in it, it can be very difficult to get out of. Families who are too poor to get their children an education often raise children who grow up to be in poverty as well.
  • That's why it's important to help in any way you can. Some options include donating to food banks or signing petitions from organizations who are fighting poverty.
