  • European countries
  • It instituted a policy in which the European countries could no longer colonize America without consequences and bring America into it's problems. This, overall, helped to diminish the problems of the U.S, but not everyone liked the new policy. It made other European countries feel like less and angered some of their citizens.
  • American Countries
  • The Monroe Doctrine definitely had a lasting impact in society. It has acted as a U.S policy for almost 100 years, and stands as a momentous moment in history.
