Daedalus takes Icarus to the new land. line 84 "he gathered the boy in his arms and flew to the land, the tips of his wings dragged in the water...."
Daedulas buried Icarus and named the new land after his son. line 86 "weeping with bitterly, he buried his small son and called the land Icaria in his memory."
pride can lead to death, making yourself look like gods can lead you to be destroyed. line 57 "......plowmen below stopped their work and shepherds gazed in wonder, thinking Daedalus and Icarus were gods."
