  • Yes Juana. Fast, to the canoe.
  • Kino, we need to go and find a pearl so we can pay the doctor to heal our baby.

  • Climax-hopeful and scared
  • It was a calm morning, Kino was with his wife, Juana and his son, Coyotito. Kino, in his mind, was hearing the happy song of the family.
  • Falling Action-aggressive and disappointed
  • His son, Coyotito gets bitten by a scorpion and Juana and Kino go to the doctor. Since they had nothing to give the docotor, the doctor refuses to visit their son. So their only hope was to look for a pearl in the sea.
  • Resolution- hopeless and miserable
  • Kino and Juana with Coyotito go to the sea to find a pearl. Kino holds his breath and gets into the water and finds a great pearl.
  • Yess, I found a great pearl. Our son will live
  • Kino goes to sell the pearl but the buyers cheat him. So he decides to go and sell it in the city. On their way, Kino discovers that had been trackers following them all the time, so Kino goes to attack the trackers, but unluckily in the attempt Coyoytio gets hurt and dies.
  • Kino and Juana were walking back home. Juana carrying their dead baby and Kino besides her. They went by the shore and Kino let the pearl go deep into the sea. The source of their dreams now didn't matter anymore.
