  • Proclamation of 1763
  • STAY ON THAT SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN!
  • WHY!?!?
  • Sugar and Stamp Act
  • We should put a tax onto Sugar, since it's in a very high demand- then taxing paper goods!
  • Yes, such a good idea.. Perfect! We shall impose these taxes!
  • “No Taxation Without Representation”
  • REPEAL THE TAXES!
  • The Proclamation of 1763 insisted of the British Parliament enforcing a rule of how the American colonists had to "remove themselves from one side of the Appalachian Mountains".
  • Townshend Act/Reaction
  • The Sugar and Stamp Act, passes a year after on-another (1764 and 1765), was to try and receive revenue from the major amounts of sugar and paper items sold. Obviously it didn't really work as for most American colonists tried to boycott both of these implemented laws.
  • Boston Massacre
  • Started in 1765, boycotting started. American colonists weren't mad about having to pay taxes, they were mad because they got taxed without having a representative to actually assign their laws to them.
  • Boston Tea Party
  • In 1767, Townshend act was passed by the English Parliament after repealing the Stamp Act. This was another tax that the colonists got angered by.
  • We asked for forgiveness, and all you give us is this..!?
  • In 1770, 5 people were killed in a boycott turned deadly. The soldiers felt threatened and decided to fire at the colonists, killing Crispus Attucks and 4 others. Having the word all over town by an engravement.
  • How could you! Killing Crispus Attucks!?
  • The Boston Tea Party, in 1773 the British East India Company dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor out of frustration. "taxation without representation".
