Capitalists were what people called the Industrial Middle Class - the owners of businesses.
They made the economic system based on free trade, lack of government intervention and private possession of machines.
They hired guards to beat adults and children who slacked on their job. The work they made their employees do depended on the season and holiday (pagan holidays were considered more important than catholic ones).
Capitalists were fond of money and searched for ways to make more money for less. This included lowering their workers' pay, looking for the cheaper option of trade and making less but earning the same amount of money as they did making more.
They created "minimum wage" to entice beggars into working for them and vagrants were treated like slaves. These workers were treated badly to make them discipilined workers.
The capitalist system was destructive to society's money situation as it only benefitted the rich, and this made socialists angry.
