In a futuristic city, with "Happylifes Home" George and Lydia Hadley begin to worry about the overuse of technology. They inspect the nursery for their children, and become concerned about its morbid theme.
George and Lydia realize that the African veldt won't change, and it is becoming more and more realistic. They vow to turn off the technology.
The children return home. pretend that all is fine in the nursery, protest vehemently at their parents' wishes, the phycologist visits and recommends that they get rid of the room because it shows how destructive the children are becoming.
George decides to let the children one last moment in the nursery; they call him and Lydia to it, and lock them in. The lions have become real and George and Lydia realize why the screams sounds familiar.
David McClean arrives to pick the children up.
The lions finish eating; the vultures drop down; Wendy ask if Mr McClean would like a cup of tea.
