The Smalls driving to Ohio. And all of a sudden it starts storming.
When they get in the House of Dies Drear they found that there furniture was facing the windows. And Thomas doesn't like it and tells them that it is a sign to leave.
Foreshadowing
Thomas was walking in the woods and Mayhew came out of a platform and chased Thomas into the house. And scared Thomas while the Smalls talked to Mayhew.
The Smalls go to church and meet Pluto there. And they found the crosses on their doors before they went.
Thomas and Mr Small go to Mr smalls office and find a cross in his office the same ones they found earlier that day.
Thomas and Mr.Small found Pluto's cave. And also found the treasure of Dies Drear.
