Here in Haiti, I am a farmer. I make a lot of coffee for the country.
I used to go to a private school and had to pay tuition. Sometimes I had to skip school since my family could not afford to pay. Which is why I am only in 6th grade, but I am 16.
When I feel sick I can ask for help from the leaf doctor, granny midwives, and spiritual leaders. The medical facilities are poorly staffed and the health care workers do not do much help.
People are taxed 10-35%.
The government tries to provide everyone with equal rights. The Haitian government is a republic with a bicameral legislature. The government also likes to support the country's dance troupes.
Haiti is very poor and does not have any advanced technology. We mostly look to religion to heal people that have HIV.
