Storyboard Text

  • At the beginning of the poem the Highwayman was riding up to the old inn door
  • He'd a french cocked" hat on his forehead, a bunch of lace at the claret vevlet  and breeches of brown does skin 
  • Then the highwayman mate the landlords daughter a dark red love knot in long hair
  • "he whistled a tune to" the window, and who should be waiting there but the landlord's daughter 
  • At the middle of the poem Tim called the King George's man.
  • "his face was " where and pealed. his eyes were hollows of madness his hair like moldy hay.
  • The metaphor is describing him by his looks
  • Next the Highwayman told Bess that he will come back to her
  • Then for me by moonlight,watch for me by moonlight,I'll come to thee moonlight, though hell should hear.
  • The Rhyme describes the sounds and looks to Bess the landlords daughter 
  • After that Bess and King George's man were alone then Bess killed herself 
  • she twisted her hands behind her, but all knot held good! she had her hand till fingers were sweat or blood!
  • The Metaphor describes the face of Tim the ostler 
  • At the end the highwayman comes to see and get Bess but he died.
  • "Down like a dog the Highwayman and he lay in his blood on the highwayman with brunch of lace at his thoat
  • The Rhyme creates to the word me by the moonlight
  • The metaphor describes how the landlords daughter killed herself
  • the simile describes how the highwayman lay down like a dog and was killed
