  • Newton's 1st law explained that if an object is at rest, it will stay at rest,  an object in motion will stay in motion unless unbalanced force acts on the object. If the object is at constant speed, and is at rest, accelerating, the object would remain still but will continue moving.  This is a balanced force unless unbalanced force acts on the object. 
  • Newton's 2nd law explained how force = mass times acceleration. Acceleration is caused by a force and is proportional to force (on the object). Greater force causes greater acceleration. The greater the ass of an object, the more it will resist any change in motion.  This is an unbalanced force and is accelerating. 
  • Newton's 3rd law explains action and reaction. With every action, there is a reaction that takes affect. It can be an opposite or balanced force depending on the action of the object. In this case, it is a soccer ball bouncing, which will have a reaction once it hits the ground. or every action, there is an equal and opposite re-action.
