Quick Disclaimer: I ain't got a good triumph or tragedy story and the ones I do have are either muddled in someway or don't have anywhere near enough substances so I'm going to take this as a chance to air some greivences and critique the book legitamitly.
My first problem with this story is with how it begins as it just drops us into her receiving the veil with little prior setup although this does attaract intrigue as well as mess with our western sensiblites on how people should dress.
Now to be completely honest the rest of this chapter is pretty good minus the playground scene as the kids seem like total jerks and one of them I am seriously weirded out by.
And once more there is another very solid chapter that sets up both her relationship to God as well as introduces her family.
And it's at this point this book really begins to suck because it's at this point it becomes really obvious on how inconsequatial of a character she truly is. She could be replaced with a cat and nothing would change about the story. She is the equivalent of an edgy teen on the internet who rants and screams but changes NOTHING. Name one thing she had a direct impact on? Because I can't find one in the whole book. Yukki from Future Diary had a more direct impact on his story and spent the whole show getting played like a fiddle by Yuno and his whole character was that he was an observer and didn't do anything except listen to Yuno until the last like 3 episodes.
