Kings were at the top of the social structure and ruled over their respective city-states. One king was always in charge of one city-state only. These kings were believed to be chosen by gods and could communicate with them.
Merchants and Artisans
Priests had almost as much power as the kings. They were born into there role, and had a lot of influence on the society for their religious connections.
Commoners
Warfare was very common for the Mayans, so many warriors were needed. Most battles were between Mayan city-states, and often ended in burning city-states and/or enslavement of the losing side. Nobles were
