  • part of becoming a civilization they had to stop chasing there food so they domesticated animal like sheep cows and dogs and used there bye products.hunting and gathering is when a tribe would chase it's food.

  • Religion was a big part of Mesopotamia they build massive ziggurats for there gods to come down from they thought there king was a demigod and they had a god for every basic principle of life.

  • The social pyramid was a templet for division of labor the higher you are the more authority you would have at the top was the king then there was his government officials and scribes then one step lower were the merchant and artisans at the bottom was farmers and slaves

  • Usually  woman would just be a wife and mother back then but in Mesopotamia there were a few other options you could be a midwife or a baker or a working as a bar made in Mesopotamia it was a patriarchal society which mean the men had all the power in gov and in the family woman didn't get to choose there husband there family did what gave them the biggest business opportunity.
  • Mesopotamia is in the fertile crescent the fertile crescent  is a region of land that was very fertile and kinda shaped like a crescent hence the name fertile crescent Mesopotamia is in between two rivers which they used to create irrigation and they used the rivers for trade routes.
  • Irrigation was a big part of Mesopotamia every year there would be flooding that brought good soil and water but they couldn't control it so they made a system of levees that made a wall to stop the water.Also dike they would also built a system of canals and ditches that would drain off the high water, helping to prevent flooding. These innovations helped to protect both crop fields and villages from flood damage.
