This is evaporation. The water in the stream is being heated up by the sun, causing it to turn into vapor that goes up into the air
The vapor from the stream then changes back into water droplets that condense to form clouds.
Water can also vaporize to the clouds in a process called transpiration. This water, however, comes from plants.
When the condensed water becomes too heavy for the cloud to handle, precipitation (rain) occurs.
The rain-water runs off of hills and mountains, back into lakes, rivers, and streams. Then, the cycle starts again!
