Its been 20 years since slavery has been abolished and i'm still glad I don't have to work like I did anymore
The 15th Amendment gave voting rights. It was ratified in 1870 however it was only allowed for men, women were later ratified for voting rights in 1920. African Americans were also allowed to vote at this time. This law was proposed by President Lyndon B. Johnson.
The 19th Amendment gave voting rights to all women. It was ratified in 1920 and Susan B. Anthony was one of the leaders of the movement.
The 13th Amendment abolished slavery. It was ratified in 1865. This Amendment abolished the use of owning a slave for extreme labor. William Seward proposed this law.
