Computer History
Hi! Today I'll tell you the history of computers.
Computers as we know them today began on the 19th century with the english mathematics professor named Charles Babbage, who designed the Analytical engine
Come! let´s start!
The first generation started in 1937 with the first electronic digital computer by Dr. John V. Atanasoff and Clifford Berry
In 1943 an electronic computer named the "Colossus" wich was built for the military
In 1946 the first general-purpose digital computer was built.
Also, computers started using memory, operating systems and storage media such as the tape and disk
And, in 1951 the first commercial computer was introduced.
The history continues with the second generation (1947 to 1962)in which computers started using transistors.
In this generation the integrated circuit was inventend, with this circuit computers became smaller, more powerful and reliable. Also, computers became able to run different programs at the same time
Third Generation (1964 to 1975)
On 1971 computer space is released, one of the earliest electronic arcade games
Fourth Generation 1975 to 2000
In 1980 Microsoft Disk Operating System was created
On the 90´s Window´s operating system was released
In 1981 IBM introduced the personal computer (PC)
