Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Hey there wanna try some wine because I know you like wine, and you'd feel pretty bad if I said you weren't a good wine taster it may or may not be amontillado
  • yeah ok
  • Conflict
  • Wow this is a nice
  • I like wine. (a lot of coughing noises)
  • Rising action
  • Hey are you okay you're coughing a lot, and now I will pretend to attempt to persuade you into going back and I totally won't kill you
  • Yeah lol I'm fine, and now foreshadowing to my death that comes in like 2 or 3 panels : I won't die of a cough
  • Fortunato (Right) has wronged Montressor, (Left) and Montressor is going to get back at Fortunato for whatever he did. Montressor finds Fortunato at a part dressed up like a jester, symbolizing that his life is a joke.
  • Climax
  • Some weird dance thing that means I'm a part of a pointless brotherhood
  • Montressor and Fortunato arrive at Montressor's house, Fortunato gets a cold from drinking wine and being in the damp catacombs
  • Falling action
  • So where's that wine that's totally here and not a death trap?
  • Montressor pretends that he cares for Fortunato and that they should turn back. This is reverse psychology, tricking Fortunato into them continuing on.
  • Resolution
  • I can't find the wine.
  • Fortunato does some weird dance because he's in the brotherhood called the masons. Montressor is an actual mason and not a joke. This is the only part of the story that anyone would even think about laughing.
  • Yeah I also lay bricks and build stuff. Also foreshadowing to how I'm gonna kill you in like 1 or 2 panels : this trowel
  • They arrive in the final room where a bunch of wine is stored, with a room on the side. The cask of Amontillado isn't there.
  • I don't know it's probably in that hole over there, let me shove you into it and chain you to the wall.
  • Fortunato is shoved into the small room and chained to the wall. Montressor pulls out his trowel (shown in the fourth panel)  and gathers some stone and mortar and begins to wall off Fortunato.
  • Also please don't notice the fact that this room has two side rooms instead of one like the original story, that was completely on purpose and not because they don't have a background with just one
  • Wow guess I have to kill you with the trowel I showed you 2 panels ago.
