Storyboard Text

  • Hey Bill! Same!
  • Hi Keira! I wonder what we're doing today in science?!
  • Yay!!
  • I've always wondered about them!
  • Hi guys! Today we will be learning about elements and compounds!
  • That's cool Mr. Wysocki! I get it!
  • So first class, an element is a substance that can't be broken down into simpler substances. It consists of only one type of atom. Some examples are hydrogen and oxygen.
  • We really get it Mr. Wysocki!
  • A compound, on the other hand, is a substance made up of more than one element. It consists of multiple kinds of atoms.  Water and carbon dioxide are examples.
  • That's it for today, kids.  Hope these concepts are clear to you now!
  • Bye Mr. Wysocki! They are. We learned so much today!
  • I had a great day in science, Keira!
  • Me too! Mr. Wysocki is the coolest!!
