  • An example of prejudice
  • Why am I the one always getting picked on at?
  • Oh my god Brittany! She does, I've never seen anyone like her, I can't even imagine being her!
  • Hey Alex, have you seen the new girl? She is so ugly looking, like an elephant! Am I not right?
  • What you did to my hair is unacceptable, you think you can do this just because you're a different skin color!
  • Shut up, you're the same skin color as she is. I demand a refund!
  • I come here everyday and have no problems with her!
  • An example of Disrimination
  • David: They both go hand and hand with each other. Prejudice reinforces discrimination because if you have preconceived thoughts and beliefs. When you act upon them in a certain way it can be discrimination.  Prejudice with people can be discrimination.
  • Tonight on NIC News at 5 we have the latest news on how prejudice and discrimination reinforce each other.
  • Karen: Discrimination reinforces prejudice because if you are acting out by being biased over someones religion, color, etc. and you then show the bias then you are influencing others to do the same, and they may not show it but they can be thinking it which results in prejudice, since it deals with preconceiving thoughts or beliefs.
