Hello! My name is Mahatma Gandhi. I was born on October 2nd, 1869, at Porbandar (or known as Gujarat). I was also born into a Gujarat, Hindu, and Baniya family (Also known as Sudamapari).
I trained in law at the Inner Temple, London. I was the first employed non-violent civil disobedience as can expatiate lawyer in South Africa, in the resident Indian's community's struggle for civil rights.
I went to my country to lead the Indian Independence movement. My country help do this by starting several prominent campaigns including the Salt March and Quit India movement. I am most famous for my successful application of non-violent methods, like civil disobedience.
Awards and Achievements
The International Gandhi Peace Prize was named after me. I fought against racial discrimination in South Africa. Satyagraha campaign in South Africa soon led to the 1914 Indian Reflect Act (Which is good to me). And I successfully led a non-violent tax revolt in Kheda.
