  • The Problem The problem is Kelly has to take a math test on thursday. Math is her weakest subject. Kelly feels really stressed.
  • Coping Strategies  Kelly has decided to use a coping strategy . A coping strategy she is going to use is meditation. she is also going study for the test  
  • Coping Stratagies Today is test day. Kelly has decided to listen to music to keep her stress level down.
  • The Outcome the outcome is Kelly did the best she could on her test. Anytime she felt stressed during the test she took some deep breathes.

  • the outcome  Kelly stayed positive and used some coping strategies and passed her test.

  • Brain Knowledge Outline Stress can cause the brain to shrink, it can kill brain cells, and it can also cause issues with the prefrontal cortex which keeps your memory and helps you learn. Practicing  mindfulness can reduce your stress and shrink the amygdala which helps the prefrontal cortex.
