Crispin was thrown against a wall. He pulled out Bear's dagger. He was hoping that he would use it correctly.
The Black Figure
Crispin didn't realize how fast he was running to get away from the soldiers. He was just glad that he did. He never had thought that he could run that fast.
He's getting anxious!
The guards wouldn't let Crispin go through the gate because it was past curfew. But Crispin couldn't go through the gate when there were 10 soldiers there. If he did there was more of a chance that he would get caught.
"Will you truly forgive me?"
Will you truly forgive me?
Crispin is scared of the mysterious black figure that is calling his name. It could be a soldier! But it didn't seem like one.
Widow Daventry was complaining about John Ball being anxious about getting food. She was getting annoyed. She wants Bear to hurry up though so she can do whatever she needs to do.
Crispin asked Bear if he would forgive him. He didn't know what ear was going to think about him taking his knife and leaving without telling him. Crispin wasn't even thinking that it was Bear calling for him when he saw the black silhouette of a man.
