  • The continetal army had strong miltary leadership including geroge washignton and The Marquis de Lafayette. These two leaders made good descions throughout the war to help the army defeat the british.
  • Manpower
  • wait no don't leave!
  • I cant do this anymore
  • The colonist had strong patriotsim. They were willingy giving their lives to defend to their liberty, homes, children, families, and friends. The American war effort wouldve crumbled without this strong support.

  • The longer the war dragged on the more likely the British would want to give up. The British thought it was going to be a quick easy war until it started and they started losing a lot of money and struggling.
  • Shortage of Food
  • I'm hungry
  • The Continetal Army major weakness was manpower because they lacked capable men to fight with them in the war. He didnt have more than 20,000 troops, because the men would pick up their muskets and go home.
  • The Continental Army also faced problmes with not having enough supplies. They didnt have alot of guns and even less gunpowder, so they had to use them wisely. It led them to building arrows, bows, hatches and knifes as other self of defense items.
  • The food shortage was also an obstacle the continental army faced. Not having enough food led many men to leave the force altogether. Getting food was very rare.
