- Hello! My name is Belle, and I'm an H2O molecule! I used to be just like my fellow H2O companions, a simple drop of water in the ocean sunbathing on the surface, until I evaporated from the Sun's energy, condensed back into water droplets with the dust particles and the low temperature, and then gathered with many of my pals to form a cloud! Thanks to precipitation, I'll very soon fall back to Earth's surface as the cloud becomes too heavy, and I'll return to my home, the ocean, where I'll reunite with my family and frie-AHHHHH!
- Woah! That was pretty fun, and not as terrifying as last time! Now that I have reached the land once again, I will either soak underground, flow off into bodies of water as run-off on Earth's surface, or just vanish into the atmosphere! Let's see what happens!!
- It seems like I will run-off down this hill into one of those nearby lakes and rives because of a wonderful force known as gravity!! But wait, I feel like I'm being dragged into something... like half of me has vanished -
- Oh!! It's really moist in here, and really rich in salts!! I have soaked underground!! This process is known as infiltration, I'm pretty sure! I should've known this was going to happen, especially with all those grasses on the hill! As you can see, I will now be stored in aquifers. Also, this layer of bedrock beneath me prevents me from flowing down any further!!
- After what feels like an eternity, I'll finally start one of the final stages of my fascinating journey back home: discharging into a river, which will eventually discharge into the ocean!! Many of my buddies have gone missing as a result of greedy creatures drilling beneath and capturing us . . . I'm glad I was able to make it!

- As this river returns me and many of my friends to our home, we not only dilute the ocean, but we also deposit a lot of salts that we carried along from the ground!!! By the way, this entire area of land and water that I just travelled across is the Mackenzie drainage basin, which is an area of land that drains into a body of water, specifically the Arctic Ocean in my case!
