  • Catching fire is a dystopian novel told by the first person perspective of Katniss Everdeen who changed from a Lonesome hunter fighting to survive, to a damged leader striving to send out a message.
  • Antagonist - President Snow / The Capitol
  • The Hunger Games trilogy takes place in an unspecified future time in the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem, located in North America. The country consists of a wealthy Capitol city, located in the Rocky Mountains, surrounded by twelve (originally thirteen) poorer districts ruled by the Capitol.
  • Conflict - Character vs. Society
  • Katniss Everdeen a Brave and Loyal 17 year old and expert in survival strives to keep her loved ones safe while still keeping her dignity and humanity with her every step.
  • Theme
  • With the leader, President Snow, the capitol establishes dominence over the districts with the Hunger Games, where young children fight to the death for entertainment. But foresight shows, this won't last forever.
  • From the first game Katniss was in she accidentally shows a sign of rebellion agaist the capitol with a suicide attempt. With this the captial annouces the annual Quarter Quell where the past victors battle to the death. This time the capitol will make sure she doesn't come back.
  • Survive, but keep your humanity and dignity with you as well.
