The pigeons mingled with the animals on the other farms, told them the story of the Rebellion and taught them the tune of 'Beasts of England'
Jones, holding a gun, and his men, holding sticks, came to recapture the farm
Snowball launched his first attack. All the pigeons flew to and fro over the men's heads and dropped their dung on them from mid-air. While the men were dealing with that, the geese pecked viciously at the calves of their legs.
"I have no wish to take life, not even human life."
Snowball launched his second line of attack. Muriel, Benjamin and all the sheep, with Snowball ahead of them, rushed forward and prodded and butted the men from every side.
Snowball gave the final signal for charge. Jones and his men were gored, kicked, bitten and trampled on. There was not an animal on the farm that did not take vengeance on them.
All the men were gone except one. Boxer had supposedly killed a stable-lad.
